Hemp Seed Oil is sensitive to heat and rather than frying or cooking with it, we recommend using it to finish dishes like pasta, salads, and to incorporate into dips and sauces. Our Hemp Hearts are safe to bake at 300 F or higher because the omegas are protected within the structure of the hemp heart. Hemp Hearts are also great for topping on smoothies, salads, and oatmeal too. Check out our recipes for more inspiration!

Hemp and marijuana are much like a sweet pepper and a hot pepper, or a Chihuahua and a Great Dane. Hemp and marijuana are both part of the cannabis plant family but are VERY different. Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods products contain less than 0.001% Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and will NOT cause a psychoactive effect.

Absolutely! Just remember to consider body weight when determining serving size – much like you would with any other food. As a general guideline cut the recommended serving size shown on each package by 1/3 or 1/2 depending on the child’s age and size.

Prior to opening, they do not require refrigeration. Once opened the product should be refrigerated and consumed within 7-10 days.

Hemp Yeah! Bars use tapioca syrup and agave syrup which are both derived from natural, non-GMO sources. Our Coconut Cashew Dark Chocolate bar also uses molasses as a sweetener, but the minimal level we are using is primarily to provide the golden coloring and provide a natural caramel flavor.
Hemp Yeah! Granola is made with organic cane sugar and organic tapioca sugar which are both natural sweeteners. Our Honey & Oats granola also uses honey as a sweetener.
Our chocolate is Certified Fair Trade Dark Chocolate. Our supplier sources their chocolate ingredients (cocoa liquor and cocoa butter) from all major growing regions globally. Our Fair Trade Dark Chocolate contains approximately 48% cacao.

Hemp foods are a natural, non-GMO product. There will be slight variations in colour depending on what hemp seed variety was grown, the soil, the region, and growing season. The color difference between product lots has nothing to do with quality – we run small batch testing and every single product goes through a minimum of 34 tests from farm gate to store shelf.

In Canada, CBD is regulated as cannabis, where in the United States, CBD supplements are regulated as an industrial hemp product via the 2018 Farm Bill. Industrial hemp is defined as any hemp plant that contains less than 0.3% THC. In Canada, it does not matter whether CBD is derived from industrial hemp or cannabis plants, and CBD products are therefore subjected to the Canadian cannabis regulation regime. Manitoba Harvest’s US hemp-derived CBD products are THC-free (less than 0.01% THC), but we are unable to sell them in Canada because US industrial hemp is not regulated through the Canadian cannabis licensing regime.
